what are reading difficulties that your students / children face?

ReplyDeletehow bout reading skills? our students, even in tertiary level, they are lack of reading skills i.e contextual clues, speed reading, synthesizing info, distinguishing main points/supporting details, predictions, inferencing, recognising anaphor & cataphora etc.
You can also try and look into the relationship between reading text and students' level of proficiency becos students usually have problems comprehending texts which have higher level of language.
Our students also have problems comprehending texts from other context and culture. They would face difficulties to relate to the context and culture of the text.
