raya blooper

never in a million years i imagine this thing is going to happen to me but it finally did. usually you'll hear stories of others who have experienced this incident. now there's another person that will be sharing the experience with you. ME. why was i so foolish to go to the wrong open house..Arrgghh..

i was so ashamed of myself. luckily i was with 2 of my friends. plus the host was 'nice'...emm.. asked us to eat and chill down for a while afterr noticing that the name we mentioned actually didn't refer to anyone in that particular house.

this incident occurred firstly, we haven't been to her house for five years. secondly, we forgot which row she lived in. thirdly, we didn't have her address (intended to rely on our instinct) and lastly, there's no last point as i'm just making excuses to blame on something else apart from my own mistakes. hee.

actually my friend's house was located behind this particular house that we went to.it just happened that we past this row first before the actual row that we're invited to. how we turned up there was a coincidence, we saw this row parked with cars and the house had all these plastic seats and table at their garden.there was also a special parking space for guests. without any doubt we were confident that it was her house.although at first before entering we guessed that she renovated her house, then we continued by giving compliments (among ourselves) on how big her house looks and how nice it was as it was different from the house that we went to five years ago. anyone would have guessed that it was her open house, unless she mentioned that it wasn't going to be a grand event, for sure we'll think twice before entering. it never crossed our mind that it wasn't their house.

after the tremendous humiliation incident we finally arrived at the actual house. still dazzled and laughing at ourselves for being foolish we told our friend about the incident. thank god our act wasn't the first. her previous guest went there too. they ate, at least we didn't.

::Zoom In Mawi::

i managed to catch the programme around 9.30. if i'm not mistaken it started at 9.00. although i missed half an hour of the show, i still enjoyed his performance. personally i think that Mawi had indeed improved a lot as compared to his previous concert in bukit jalil. his fantasia concert in collaboration with silky girl had certainly fooled himself by his non-stop giggling act which made most of his audience annoyed, including me. personally, the zoom in programme was organized properly, less nonsense laughs from the idol. the whole show potrayed that he had rehearsed the show several times. the script were in line and thank GOD everthing went on smoothly. what i hated about the show was his duet song with zarina. for me the song is a total crap!totally uninteresting. too many repetition of the chorus which makes it even more boring. hearing from my ears it didn't sound harmonized. arrghh i just hate that song. why on earth did he agree to sing that pathetic song!
here's just more points of what i liked and didn't like:

like:
1. his sponsored clothes
2. his jokes
3. his interest to improve his english

hated:
1. his duet with zarina
2. him responding to what the audience says everytime
3. shaking hands with audience while singing (he should've done that after the show)
4. airing the programme live when others are performing their terawikh prayers (i know that it can be performed at anytime after isya' till imsa' but after the show at least he could invite the audience to perform terawikh together)
wouldn't that be nice?..

so the pros and cons are even. nothing more to say. i enjoyed last night's programme.thanks rtm.

::work::

when i was small, when anyone asked my what I wanna be when I grow up. My straight forward answer will be 'I want to be a teacher when I grow up'. now holding a degree in this field, I haven't started teaching yet. I’ve somehow diverted myself to experience something else apart from teaching. While waiting to get stamped and posted to teach at some place that God knows where (oh god, cepatla posting), I’ve started working elsewhere in a company doing accounts and office work. Although it's only a part time job but still I have to wake up early and deal with the morning traffic everyday. The best thing that led me towards working at this place was because the pay was good. $$. yes, i get lots of money. More than the permanent employees as they have to pay loans and etc while I don’t. kakakaaa..

On my first day at work I was a bit scared as I wasn’t sure about the working environment and all. Then everyone there seems to be so nice and friendly, plus there wasn’t much work to do. At first I thought that I’ll receive tons of work to do (you know how some companies treats new employees) but it turns out to be I’ve practically no work at all. From my first day until now, it seems like more than 2 months and still I haven't got much to do.. my daily routine would be like: wake up early in the morning, go to work, make sure the boss sees me everymorning, sit at my desk, switch on the computer, surf online (act as if I’m busy), arrange the files and stuff on my table, key in data (once a week), when it’s about time slowly find the exit door and go home. Hehee..

It's not like I like being useless. It’s just that I have no work to do. I’ve not been given anything complete. Working in these departments is so not challenging as being a teacher. I get so bored just sitting there at my desk. When I get bored, I go and make myself a cup of coffee (to avoid myself from sleeping). This working experience makes me wonder whether to continue working here and make lots of money or teach, with less income but doing the thing I like. A teacher's work it is very challenging as compared to this one. There's no 'hard work' put into this job. Everything is like easy peasy.. so while i was lazing around at the office, I was wondering why jobs like these get lots of money than teachers? It’s just not fair. I think teachers should be paid more. They have to stand all the time in class meanwhile people at the office sits a lot. Office mates often wastes their time and saliva gossiping and talking while teachers spend their time appropriately teaching students. I think teachers should be paid more as being a teacher is difficult and tiring. All I can say that teaching is far more challenging than this occupation. At least your teaching style varies, not like office work where you’re doing the same thing over and over again. accounts. accounts. accounts.. arrgghh.. it's unchallenging and so boring...

i think that I’m suffering from a symptom of knowledge deficit as I’m kinda getting some sort of bored by each passing day. I should get back to teaching so that my iq and knowledge increases again. If you want to make your life more interesting, test yourself in different level of difficulties and try being a teacher with 26 period a week. this will certainly make your brain functioning well.
I'm not complaining, I just miss teaching.

Expressions from a sorrow fellow

I need to be alone
I need my space
The space, for
A time to think
A time to dwell
A time to recuperate
A time to take in everything
Also exhale as much as possible
As complex as it may seem
My life is mine
No one will have power
Except for me.

::stuck on the highway::

I love traveling (on my parents expenses) hehee.. But surely when I’ve my own income I’ll travel more. It’s true that you will learn something through every journey. This is what I faced during my previous journey. It certainly was a lesson for me.
I’ll give the situation and you tell me what you'll do.
What will you do if you're stuck on a highway, you are out of petrol, you left your wallet at the previous rest area, your ticket was in your wallet and you have absolutely nothing?
Would you ask strangers for money?
Yes. This family did.
They asked my family..
Did we give them money? Yes. But that was after taking the car registration number, their i.c number, their hand phone number and after a long interrogation with their children to see if their parents were telling the truth.
Was I being cruel of not believing them? I don’t think so. Who wouldn’t be suspicious?. I hope that they arrived safe and sound to their destination. If they call back to send the money, we’ll give it for free. If it’s a fraud (maybe not) am I going to take action? Nope.. I guarantee you won’t see me stopping for a second the next time if anyone hails me.
Each decision brings its own pros and cons. I hope that my good intention will give me something back, if not now, maybe in the future.

::ha.ha.ha.::

i never wondered that sometimes that the words that flows out of my mouth when i'm annoyed seems to be funny . come to think of it, it's worth some kidney rumbling..

my friend likes to ask me questions related to the traditions of what girls can do and can't do...
example:
"orang tua kata kalau perempuan ...(bla..bla..bla) betul ker?", my friend asked for the first time.
i answered --->> manala saya tahu, saya nampak tua ker yang awk tanya saya ni??
after a few minutes after we changed to another topic she asked another question related to yeah..yeah 'orang tua' again!
"betul ker orang tua2 kata perempuan tak boleh bla-bla-bla......", she asked me.
with an annoyed faced i answered, " awak tanya jelah orang tua tu!".
Huh

::just for laughs::

don't make presuppositions before you hear the whole act

situation
i tried calling my friend and she wasn't at home, when i finaaly got to reach her.

friend: hey
me: you pergi mana
friend: beli ikan dengan mak saya....
me: bukan ke awk tak leh bau hanyir ikan, dahla tak boleh gi pasar plak tu...
(what i had in mind--->> oh, my friend has changed, possibly training herself to be a great housewife, hehehee)
friend: bukan..bukan
me: tak percayala awak pergi beli ikan..
friend: bukan beli ikan tu.. ikan aquarium
me: cisss..

::long break::

Sorry for not updating my blog. Maybe it's the back home syndrome with turns me into a lazy freak.. Actually my laptop isn’t with me anymore and I don’t feel comfortable writing (or should I say typing) using a keyboard. I feel kind of exposed and less personal writing using this thingy. Well, I guess I have to deal with it for a while.. I’ll try to adapt with it and when I’m in the mood, I’ll write. Chow!!

::Bridge of understanding::

So much of the name, there is no longer an understanding.
Life’s like that, if you be too nice, some people will take you forgranted. People will also try to pull you down. Then you will fall down easily, knock your head and no longer have control over anything. We do not want that to happen. Ending up with nothing in our favour. In order to end the controversy, a confident and firm decision is made. I hope that they are not trying to play a game of I love you. I love you not...To build a bridge or not to build.

Chicken Soup for The Soul. Malay Edition.

Reading Chicken Soup for The Soul is one way to make you feel good. Among Chicken Soups that I have read so far are:

Chicken Soup for
1. The Teenage Soul
2. The Girl’s Soul
3. The Romantic Soul
4. The Couple’s Soul
5. The Writer’s Soul
6. The Teacher’s Soul
and a whole lot of other souls. Hehe

Another book that is similar to Chicken Soup is a new book that I've read titled ‘Ayah Kita Bos’. I like to refer this book as the Malay version of Chicken Soup. I personally love this book because it makes me smile, laugh and think about things that occurs around me in a different perspective. Luckily, my friends did not report me to Hospital Bahagia for creating non-stop annoying giggling sounds in the middle of the night. They just dropped by my room by peeking through the door with a confused face wondering about the book that I was reading what is so funny about it. All I said is that you will know when you read this book. I continued to read. I ‘khatam-ed’ reading the book twice from front to back cover. Friends started to read the book too. I heard giggling sounds along the corridor. I think I know why. I smiled and went back to my room.

The authors of the book really know how to put things in perspective. They write about life. Not the ordinary rambling writings of life but about life in general, in an interesting point of view. Writings by Tok Rimau are straightforward direct and digestible. It is easy to understand, but in some entries, you might have to think beyond the lines to interpret the meaning. The writings are like magic wands, sparkling through every flip of the page. Sinaganaga’s writing is more of a dialogue. He writes in speaking form. He really utilizes the use full stops throughout his writing. I created a technique for my friends to read and understand Sinaganaga’s entries. Lucky that I had acting experience that helped me create this technique. It is called ‘Teknik Satu Nafas’ (One breath technique). Read by using a single breath. Do not stop at all the full stops. Only stop to take a breath if you suffocate and can no longer breathe properly. Create your own intonation and style by reading the writings like a dialogue. Try it, it is interesting. Other than that, you might need some schemata of Japan when reading some of the entries. Try memorizing the map of Japan and learn more about the Japanese culture. Then you will know why certain things are widely available at Japan. That was just an example.

This is only my personal review. Ayah Kita Bos is my ‘Sup Ayam Untuk Jiwa’. If you think you will like it, then buy it. If not, you can simply navigate away from here.

::H.O.M.E::

When I am at home, I feel happy. I like to sleep on my comfortable bed. I like to wonder aimlessly around the house. Do practically nothing sometimes. Eat meals and junk food without having to pay. Enjoy watching television programmes. Chat with my siblings all day until we get tired and sleepy. Have meaningful conversations with my parents. Practically I just love being at home. Home is where the heart is.

::the end::

Thursday. 11 a.m. The last day of class.
Should I be happy because I don't have to wake up early anymore for my morning classes? Or should I be sad? Thinking of it I know that my time is almost up. This is the end of my 5 years journey of a student. Time passes by so fast when you don't want it to end. To all my beautiful friends who have been beside me 'Thank you'. No words can describe how all of you mean to me. Thinking about saying goodbye is difficult enough, just can't imagine doing it. I don't want this to end. I hope that all the memories will be cherished and remain forever in our hearts. It's been a wonderful journey...
*shed tears*

on blogging

blogging can be so many things. Some ppl like tok rimau have produced their own books... :) while some ppl like me blog for personal satisfaction... to release whatever's 'cooped up' inside... it's healthier hehe...

and blogging also improves your writing skills, if you blog consistently... ciao first...

::aint she beautiful::

Confused of what to do is it? Just sit there and let people snap your picture..
I think you look prettier without make up.

One thing that makes our siblings similar according to my cousin is that we have the same taste when selecting boyfriends and girlfriends. We like people with chinese look. I didn't notice that but now it seems rather obvious.. I think I'll change to Spanish looking guyslah. I just have to be different.

::Ring oOo::

welcome to the family. you are just a step closer to joining us..

The ring was actually supposed to be worn on the right hand instead of the left. We were confused why it didn't fit. Howcome it didn't fit? Infact both of them bought the ring together last week. Fingers can get fat maaa?... I never knew that.

Mum: Did it fit when you bought the ring?
Brother: it fitted nicely that moment.
Mum: I told you to buy a size larger, so why didn't you?
Brother: She didn't want to.
Mum: Rugila macam tu.. Tak boleh pakai lama... Ish2..
Brother: It's okla ma.. Don't worry... Anyway it's her ring. Not mine..
Mum: It's your money, not hers.
(after being attacked several times by my sis and younger brother)
Brother: I think we can go back to the shop and change the size. *sigh*
Mum: You better do...

Well an advice that I'll keep from this is that when you buy a ring make sure to buy a size larger than the one you're wearing at the moment. You'll never know what'll happen.

::writing out loud::

The results of my study showed that the respondents of my survey (bloggers) least used variables such as the outlining of the entries, translating and revising strategies. Could this be due to the fact the bloggers just don't have the time to apply the writing process or they just simply don't care about the process of writing?.. Hmmm...

::prefer to be anonymous?::

In the world of blogging, 40% likes to reveal their real name and the rest stated that they will be comfortable being anonymous. Is being anonymous a good factor or not?.. Does this factor somehow lead to the freedom of the anonymous blogger to leave comments that are a bit harsh or sensitive to the other bloggers. If others think that using nicknames are people that are afraid to speak out loud, insecure, unconfident and ashamed with themselves, does that mean I have to change my nick to my real name to? Cause I’m not all the above. I'm just confused...

So, out of my respondents for my survey.. 70% from the bloggers are male? I don't get it... I thought that females loved to write and express their feelings bla..blaa bla.. Arrghh.. the virus is here again.. Spreading itself to rule to gain the throne of my computer. I’m calling out the knights to save my precious from ‘Trojan Horse’, ‘I-Worm’ and ‘Brontox’. These three monarchs have tried to diminish all my reminiscences that I intend to keep. They have disrupted others and now they intend to pull me down. For now let us pray for the best for my nation to heal. For I have my government to rule and PSM mission to complete. Time heals everything. I will have to wait for time. Every minute, every second and every tick of the needle for them to recover..

::the first movie that made me cry::

This movie acted by Jung Woo-Sung and Son Ye-Jin is a must to see movie. It is a funny, strange, romantic and somehow ridiculous (things that the couple did) all combined in one movie. The title 'a moment to remember' is very memorable as throughout the duration of 90 minutes, you'll try to reflect on your on life and cherish whatever that's left of it... I cried and cried with mucus and tears streaming nonstop down my face which made my pillow damp. (had to wash it the day after that)..hehe

This story is very realistic as it deals with real life emotions. It is a story about a girl who have an illness (a due to die kind of illness). She did not know her fate was like that.. The story also portrays about how her husband deals with her having the disease and how all the people around her reflected on the disease.. This movie really shows what true love is about……
The director or whoever is involved in the story really knows how to manipulate the viewers and bed the viewers in tears. They also made a perfect ending to the story and left viewers with what they try to think for the girl’s fate and so as our own. I won’t tell you more as I’m suggesting for everyone to see it. Get your box premier tissue or a roll of toilet paper, sit and enjoy the movie. Hope to see whether you like the movie the same as I do.

nothing's changed. nothing to mention about. oh, as for my thesis, it is going slow right now. I received many comment from bloggers regarding blogging. Some of them stated that blogging is actually a time to express your feeling. When expressing.. we tend to use another style of language. What kind of language? So how this is different from the normal language we write in is yet to be found out. How far this is true will be investigated as time comes

ESP

Some say it is hard to teach ESP whereby you kind of get confused to draw a line between content and language. So is it a matter of fluency or accuracy?... We are not sure either... When teaching ESP you can use simulations of real-life situations whereby students can practice everyday language items. Exercises according to topics can help the students understanding. Students can practice simulations of their work situations later on. Anyone wants to add on ESP or have any info on it, feel free to add on

Sleep is an allocated time where you rest yourself from all the stress you faced all day. With the lights on some people can't get a really good night sleep. So turn off the light and try to make others have their quality sleep so that they can start off fresh on a brand new day. Yeah-yeah I've got sleep problems. ;)

Customers are always right. So, be it a restaurant, supermarket or cafe, make sure to put the customers first. Take their complaints positively and turn it into a postive feedback to improve your service. With this attitude both party will gain benefits. There's no need to pull a face when the customers complain. It's totally rude and what will the customer think? Of course "We'll never come here again". You do the maths.

::Promise::

A promise is still a promise.
Promises that I’ve made so far and that I remember of :

Promised my mother that I’ll study hard (hahaaa)
Promised my brother to buy him Nike shoes
Promised my friend to make her a jar of raya cookies
Promised my cousin to accompany her during her business trip (if I’m free)

Now, I promise to myself to fulfill all of these promises. Hopefully.

No one wants to participate ha?..

So far I’ve only managed to get a few subjects for my study. Still lacking a few numbers. Isn’t anyone free and interested to participate in my research?... AArrrghh!!

JUE

"Jue..You're eliminated this week..."
I really can't believe that Jue is out of the competition. Why did the judges eliminate her!! It seemed so biased. The final three that are left do not have any beauty in them... Hani: 'Kampungla', Faridah, OK but ..., Jesse:Plastic(fake)
I bet that all the women in Malaysia are dissapointed by this programme because they are crowning the least beautiful of them all. Now I know why my brother says this show is stupid...

‘PSM 2 Briefing on Monday 2nd January 2006'

The PSM 2 briefing was held at Digital Lab at 10.00 a.m. Our new PSM Coordinator Pn.Zanariah noted some important reminders for this semester’s PSM.

These are the important action that needs to be done throughout this semester to complete PSM2.

1. Meet examiners and get their comments before proceeding to do PSM 2.
2. Have submitted the A form to Pn.Zanariah with the research title clearly stated. Need to keep one copy and another copy is to be given to your supervisor.
3. Need to bring log book for every meeting with your supervisor. Your supervisor needs to have a log book as well. Your supervisor will aign in your logbook and so will you.
4. Start collecting data and do not waste time.
5. Due of final draft is on week 11. Need to submit 3 copies of the draft to Puan Zanariah by the end of week 11 and to your supervisor.
6. PSM presentation : week 13 and/or 14.
7. 2 1/2 weeks(mid week 14-end of week 16) to do the corrections (if any). See and consult your supervisor before doing the corrections.
8. Submit hard bound copy of report by end of Week 16 to :
a. The education Faculty ( 1 hard copy anf 2 Cd plus the F form)
b. Your supervisor
c. The PSM Coordinator
d. Self copy

All I need to do now is reschedule my self and strive to complete my PSM!! Wish me luck!

Vinnciholic….

What’s that? Is it a new word?
It means a person who is addicted to Vincci product especially shoes. It is rather intimidated to know that someone is a Vincciholic. If people do not wear Vincci shoes it does not mean there are not as exclusive as you are. Maybe to them comfort is more important than the design. It is not that we do not buy V products, some are nice and don’t mention we’ve got a few collection but the thing is that not all Vincci’s shoes can cater to each feet in this world, therefore there needs to be a range of product that cater to different needs and sizes. And as for Vincciholic, do not get carried away, there are other exclusive product rather than V, they are more comfortable, sexy and good looking shoes than those offered at the V store.

My PSM

So far my research is going a bit slow as I have only obtained 50+ respondents. I'll have to find more Malaysian bloggers to participate in my research. If there seems to be difficulty, I guess I'll have to change my plans... boohooo.....
